Music Millennium In-Store in Portland

rad stage…in a record store!

as far as record stores goes portland is home of one of the best. just like easy st in seattle this store kicks ass. it’s a shame stores like this arent everywhere. terry (the owner) has a great job – he owns two music millenniums in portland and has been doing this for years and years and years. gotta love old school independent record stores cos they haven’t been crushed by the major crappy chains. thanx again terry i hope we can stop over again next time we’re there. as far as the 3 song acoustic show went, well once again it was robert james and mariqueen doing the in-store jamming. i was in the crowd mystery shopping, taking pics and cheering loudly just so i could make them laugh. it was a good time even though it was way too early for west indian girl to be awake.

Mariqueen’s Mind
oh music millennium… apologies til the day i die for such an uncomfortable instore. you must understand that i woke up in my fabu hotel room with a big headache and news from the night prior[seattle]. with no time to eat or warm up i wobbled into music millennium, marveled at how beautiful the stage was and prayed that i wouldn’t faint. the workers at the store were angels. they got me hot tea and five bottles of water. rob kept his sunglasses on for the whole set… i should’ve done the same thing. i was literally holding on to my microphone just to keep steady. i gave this show a two out of ten. personally, i was just embarrassed. you win some, you lose some… unfortunately i had a huge L on my forehead that afternoon. thanks, terry for being so sweet. i hope you liked our doug fir show and again, i’m sorry i was so out of it at your store.

terry = legend this guy has seen it all – thanx bro
