NPR Morning Edition

an old friend of mine, Ted Lott, from grand rapids michigan sent me an email today…it read “Heard West Indian Girl used on a music transition for Morning Edition on NPR yesterday. You guys are everywhere! I hope LA’s warm. It’s really fucking cold here. When do I get to hear the new stuff?” after a bit of research (emailing ian and asking him about it) i was sent this “Yup, I heard this as well…it was the intro from Trip”. then i got an email from a friend i went to college with (rob bass) that just had this link in it. good stuff. it’s the gift that keeps on giving. and to answer your question ted – you get to hear the new stuff this summer when our record comes out. So are you going to collect a royalty for that airplay?
Ascap and BMI have really shady methods to account for artists songs being played on the air.
