min musa
miss Karin Dreijer Andersson (a/k/a Fever Ray & 1/2 of The Knife) could very well leave the lovely and iconic Björk in the shadows sometime in the near future. i am – sans exaggeration – transfixed by this beauty’s spooky vocals, poetry and overall mystique. my car stereo has taken her cd hostage with no negotiation of release. i even acquired the tc helicon beast of a pedal – which has become the new bff to a few too many alter-egos (there’s that actor thing again)… but i thank you miss Karin, for the inspiration i have been waiting to hear & feel.

a fiction romance
what happened to that?
have we [especially you angelenos] become so jaded that we’ve forgotten the fine art of courting and beautiful nights of lust that purge the words, “we have to do this every day” from your mouth? i cant speak for everyone, but passion, to me is like air. oh dont you worry, honey money, i am quite alive i just wanted to do my part and remind you men & women out there to not take your friends or partners for granted. dont be afraid to grab them by the hair and plant a fiery soul sucker on their lips.
you’re welcome.

do you like fish sticks?
just wondering if you like putting fish sticks in your mouth. i dont own a tv but saw a clip of this south park episode online about kanye west – it was pretty funny and yes it has absolutely nothing to do with my band.

PLAY-LA Mag
Yeah yeah, it’s not just because these guys have listed us as a must see event in their last 2 issues. It’s more because I honestly dig this mag’s format. As stated in their information section, “Play’s concept is pretty simple: create a compelling format to showcase the best upcoming events here in L.A.” It’s a digital flip-book that simulates the page-turn interface of a regular mag. You can even stream the band they recommend seeing. It’s a big visual ad for “these are the events you can’t miss this month”.  Perfect for all of us with ADD or ADHD. Honestly, because of this mag I’m gonna take a date to LACMA on Feb 9.

4th On The Floor: Remixes Vol. 2 OUT NOW!!!!
Options options options… everyone loves them, and in the case of our second remix CD variety is indeed the spice of life. OK, let me break it down. There are 4 ways you can get all or some of these remixes into your ears.
1: CD – 4th On The Floor: Remixes Vol. 2…. This double CD package is ONLY available via the band’s site. It will be in select stores in ’09 but I have no news on this yet. This double disc has 26 tracks. What’s special about the CD version are the 7 exclusive tracks that won’t be found anywhere else.  These exclusive tracks are from LIME, CruelBlackDove, Mark Sgarbossa, Ron Reeser & Dan Saenz and Venue. These tracks are rad and as of right now you can only get them here. In the future they will be available digitally as part of new, special and bonus releases.  The CD art which was done by Ashkahn is especially fantastic.
2: Digitally - 4th On The Floor: Remixes Vol. 2 “Standard Edition“ – the Smash Hit Music Co has put together a selected playlist of 15 tracks. These remixes are all different – uptempo, downtempo, dance, and electronic. This playlist is not only one of the main features on the iTunes electronic store right now but its featured on the front pages of Amazon, Napster and Limewire among many others. Funny how how a cool little label in SF can get more advertising visibility than the shitty “bigger/ part of a major” label our last CD came out on. We all make mistakes. Count that label as one of my larger ones. Forgive me Lord, I have sinned. Right now only $7.99 at itunes
3: Digitally - 4th On The Floor: Remixes Vol. 2 “The Black Edition” – is a specific selection of 9 tracks that are sure to get you moving towards the dance floor. Most of these tracks aren’t on the regular/standard version described above. This is also released by the aforementioned Smash Hit Music Co. Circuit parties for everyone. only $7.99 at itunes
4: Vinyl – via Rong music. A 12″ with 3 tracks will be released in January. Rong = the crème de la crème of vinyl releases. Mmmmmm….
