Quick Update – August

view from our stage at street scene 8.5

hi everyone! just wanted to let you know what’s ahead on the blog – show reports from tucson, tempe and street scene along with blogs about our in-studio dj fun at 94.9 in san diego and indie 103.1 in los angeles.

speaking of radio we have been getting plenty of action as of late in the so cal area with our remix record – a few plays this past week on kcrw (morning becomes eclectic with nic harcourt and metropolis with jason bentley) as well as from indie 103.1 and 94.9 . last friday we were guests on midori’s big sonic chill show. we were there for 3 hours! yesterday we were TK’s special guests on his coup d’etat show. both shows were a blast – we have pics and blogs about all this stuff coming soon so check back in the next day or two.

sorry the blog hasnt been updated the past 2 weeks but we have been pretty busy – the record is also taking shape – robert james is leading the charge in the studio and burning the candle at both ends. i dont know how this guy can stay awake so late at night. insane. indian ocean is still my favorite new song. remix record comes out next week too.

talk to you soon – F10

Awesome. Yes, Athens is definitely one of those misplaced cities in the South. Their publication, Flagpole, tends to come across a little snobbish from time to time with their music reviews. But, a music editor I work with in Augusta and my girlfriend (loves culture, history, Madonna, and Catherine Hepburn) would love to see you guys. I’ll save my Guiness binge drinking after your show (that is if it’s a fine enough establishment to serve my beautiful poison).
Yeah, just leave a comment on your site or post one on my blog, not that it’s a hotbed for attention because it’s more for memoir purposes. I’m technologically impaired so I’m reluctant to leave my personal e-mail address on your message board (hackers and average joes could easily tap into it I suspect).

Hey, I want to know when your new album is coming out, but more importantly, when are we going hunting with Dick Cheney? He’s like the evil grandpa who would tell his grandchild who wants a dollar to play an arcade game, “No. You have to pull up your boot straps and earn it yourself.”
Like you guys, I’m in the, oh, I don’t know — sex appeal, call center, freelance writer/journalist occupation (some creativity). Would you consider playing at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Ga. (founded by REM) or Atlanta. I’d love to see you guys in person. Of course, so did Annie Oakley and we all know what happened to her from Stephen King’s Misery. No, not obsessed much. Just love your music along with The Afghan Whigs (Twilight Singers now with Dulli), Live, The Smiths, etc.
