chill vibes at m theory

our acoustic show at m theory was pretty classic. totally chill vibe – i was totally into it. walt and doug met us there and provided some great support. as usual it was just mariqueen and r james playing 3 songs while i hosted the event. the record store itself is pretty dope. good vibes. after the show walt and doug showed me the san diego newspaper that had a big article and picture about us in it. then they cruised me back (in the yellow jeep) to the club for sound check. these guys are good to know.

Mariqueen’s Mind
our instore at m theory was stressful for me. you see, i chose to drive to san diego by myself. little did i know that i would be stuck in serious gridlock for three and a half hours. i got to the casbah earlier than the rest of the guys and was pleasantly greeted by lewscious. we waited and waited and got the word from our sound man, ward, that we would miss our in store because we were already expected to be there to set up. i then got a call from the rest of the band saying to meet at m theory. great. guess who didn’t have directions to the store? thank god the duchess [my beloved car] has a navigation system. i made mark come with me and we arrived at m theory to find fran and rob already set up, sitting in front of the crowd, with sunglasses on, ready to go. guess who didn’t warm up, or drink tea and had a hangover? ugh. fran emceed the whole fiasco and i did my best to not embarass myself or the band. the store was really cute. i loved the whole layout and over all design. the audience was positive and i hope to god i didn’t fail them. i hope we can come back and do another one for this next record and i can show them what i’m really made of. if any town deserves my one hundred and ten million percent, it’s san diego.
