Listen Live – Acoustic Session This Friday on KEXP
If you have the chance you might want to listen to a live on-air acoustic session we are doing this friday at 3pm (PST) on KEXP in seattle. KEXP is another great station like xpn in philly, kcmp in minny, det in detroit and of course our own kcrw in la. listen to us here at the KEXP site. robert and mariqueen are going to play a few west indian girl songs -it’s gonna be cool cos most people haven’t heard these songs performed like this.

admf!!! i put you on the list and you didnt show. we were all pretty bummed you didnt make it. a seattle show with no bacon double helix is always bittersweet.

My afternoon break is 3-3:15 so i just stepped out to my car to listen to the interview– It was a great acoustic rendition of “Trip” with Rob doing some ethereal guitar voicings completely above and beyond the recording (no MOOG to texture the sound with)… Mariqueen’s voice floating in the heavens per usual.
But when it got to the interview part, cameraman FRAN had to come in and save the day as Rob and M-Queen were tongue tied and thinking “can we just get to the next song please?” while Fran babbles on about the early primordial soup that led to the band’s organic formulation
i’ll be listening…wish i could be at the kexp session….
